Who We Are

Door Engineers is the trading name used on this website by Alu-Glaze & Door Engineers Ltd, company number 15131786, registered in England and Wales, part of the AGDE Group. The company is the controller of the personal information covered by this policy.

This policy covers this website, enquiries made through it, telephone and email enquiries, quotations, customer and project correspondence, and related business administration.

What Personal Information We Collect

Information You Provide

When you request a quotation, contact us or discuss a project, we may collect your name, company or organisation, telephone number, email address, site postcode, project details, correspondence and any photographs or documents you choose to provide. A website form also records the source page so the enquiry reaches the right context.

The original enquiry, including those contact details, is received by Door Engineers through Netlify so that we can respond. If you have allowed Advertising, and enhanced-conversion measurement is enabled, a separate set of submitted email address, telephone number and available name or address details may be normalised and securely hashed before being sent to Google to match an enquiry with an advert. That hashed matching copy is not the original enquiry, and hashing does not make the information anonymous.

If work proceeds, we may also keep relevant site, access, programme, contract, delivery, invoice, payment and business-contact records.

Information Collected When You Use The Website

Our hosting and security systems may process your IP address, browser and device type, operating system, requested pages, date and time, referring page, user agent and security or spam signals. Your privacy choice is stored in your browser, and the corresponding consent state is communicated only to the optional measurement providers you allow.

Google Fonts is a non-measurement presentation asset. The shared page template loads DM Sans from fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com on every visit, before an optional Analytics or Advertising choice. Google may therefore receive ordinary network information such as IP address, browser details and referrer for that font request. That request is not a measurement tag and does not wait for the optional consent controls.

Where you permit optional measurement technologies, we may also receive online identifiers, page views, clicks, navigation and performance information, and campaign or referral details. Microsoft Clarity, if delivered through our tag manager after analytics consent, may provide interaction recordings and heatmaps, which we continue to treat as personal information.

Information From Other Sources

We may receive relevant business contact or project information from your employer, colleagues, clients, contractors, consultants, suppliers, referral partners, publicly available business sources and, where you have allowed them, our analytics or advertising providers.

How & Why We Use Personal Information

We use personal information only where we have a lawful basis under UK data-protection law.

Required form fields are needed so that we can understand and respond to an enquiry. If you do not provide them, we may be unable to contact you or prepare a quotation. Other information is optional.

Submitting an enquiry does not subscribe you to marketing.

Where electronic business-to-business marketing is used, corporate work contacts may be approached where PECR permits and our legitimate interests are not overridden. Sole traders, certain partnerships and people using personal contact details are contacted only where consent or another valid PECR exception applies.

Cookies, Analytics & Advertising

Cookies are small files stored by a browser. The website may also use local storage, tags and pixels. Essential storage supports your privacy choice and core form or security functions. Optional measurement services remain off unless you select the relevant category. Google Fonts is a separate presentation request and is not one of those optional categories.

You can reject optional measurement services and still use the website and send an enquiry. Google Tag Manager is the only measurement bootstrap on this website. It does not load unless you allow Analytics or Advertising. That gate applies to optional measurement tags, not to every Google request: Google Fonts still loads on every visit as described above. Google Ads, if enabled, is used for measurement rather than personalised website remarketing. The services below may not create every listed item on every visit. Provider information is available from Google and Microsoft Clarity. You can also block or delete storage through your browser, although browser-wide blocking may affect website functions.

Who We Share Personal Information With

We share only what is reasonably needed for the purpose. Recipients may include:

• Netlify, which hosts the website and processes website form submissions;
• communications, IT, email, CRM and business-administration providers;
• Think Online, our website support provider, where access is needed to maintain the website or administer enquiries;
• Google for the Google Fonts presentation request made on every visit, and separately for consented Analytics, Tag Manager and Ads measurement after an optional choice. After Advertising consent, if enhanced-conversion measurement is enabled, Google may receive normalised and securely hashed enquiry contact details for conversion matching; the original enquiry remains with Door Engineers and Netlify;
• Microsoft for Clarity analytics when analytics consent is enabled;
• telephone, security, accounting, banking, insurance and professional-advice providers;
• employees, authorised contractors, suppliers, clients, principal contractors and site operators where needed to quote, plan or deliver work; and
• courts, regulators, police, tax authorities or other public bodies where disclosure is required or permitted by law.

Some recipients act on our instructions as processors; others are responsible for their own processing. We do not sell or rent personal information.

International Transfers

Some technology providers may process or support personal information outside the United Kingdom. This can include global hosting, Google and Microsoft services, and website support provided by Think Online from Australia.

The transfer route depends on the recipient and destination. It may include UK adequacy regulations, the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework for an eligible US organisation, or UK-approved contractual safeguards such as the International Data Transfer Agreement or UK Addendum together with the required assessment.

How Long We Keep Personal Information

We keep identifiable information only for as long as reasonably needed for the purpose, legal obligations and legitimate claims.

• Enquiries and quotations: until the enquiry is resolved and a reasonable follow-up period has ended, unless the information becomes part of a customer, project, complaint or legal record. Enquiries that do not become contracts are typically kept for up to 24 months.
• Customer, contract, invoice and core supplier records: generally six years after the work, transaction or relationship ends, or longer where tax, safety, warranty, insurance or legal-claim requirements apply.
• Security and access logs: only while needed to operate and secure the website, then deleted or aggregated, unless a record is needed to investigate an incident, misuse or legal claim.
• Analytics and advertising information: while needed to understand website use and campaign response, then deleted or aggregated where the account controls permit. Provider-controlled records may follow the provider’s own disclosed retention periods.
• Marketing preferences: until consent is withdrawn or the contact is no longer relevant. We may keep a minimal suppression record so an objection continues to be respected.
• Privacy choices: for six months before the website asks again.

We may delete information sooner, anonymise it so it is no longer personal, or retain it longer where a legal hold, dispute, investigation or binding requirement makes that necessary.

Your Data-Protection Rights

Depending on the circumstances and lawful basis, you may have the right to:

• ask for access to your personal information;
• ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete information;
• ask us to erase information or restrict how it is used;
• object to processing based on legitimate interests;
• receive certain information you provided in a portable format;
• withdraw consent at any time, without affecting earlier processing; and
• ask for safeguards relating to a qualifying solely automated decision.

Rights are not absolute and do not all apply to every use. We may ask for proportionate information to verify your identity or authority. We normally respond within one month and do not usually charge a fee.

How To Make A Complaint

You can complain to Door Engineers by emailing office@agde-group.co.uk, calling 0330 057 5857 or writing to our registered office. Please explain what happened, the information or interaction involved and the outcome you are seeking. We will acknowledge a data-protection complaint within 30 days, investigate it without undue delay, keep you appropriately informed and explain the outcome.

You can also complain directly to the Information Commissioner’s Office. You do not need to complain to us first.

Security, Children & Automated Decisions

We use proportionate technical and organisational measures intended to protect personal information, including encrypted website connections, access controls, spam controls and provider security measures. No internet or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.

This commercial services website is not directed at children and we do not knowingly seek children’s personal information through it.

Door Engineers does not use personal information to make solely automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects about you. Consented analytics and advertising services may group events or assess campaign performance, but Door Engineers does not use those outputs to make such a decision about an individual.

Links may take you to websites controlled by other organisations. Their own privacy policies apply to their processing.

Changes & Contact

We may update this policy when our services, website technologies, providers or legal obligations change. The date at the top identifies the current version. If a change materially affects people, we will use an appropriate way to bring it to their attention.
